LITURGICAL MINISTER SCHEDULE
We are delighted to have you join us for Mass at 5:00pm, a family meal at 6:00pm followed by the start of Faith Formation classes at 6:30pm. If you are new to Sunday night faith formation, note that our Sunday night families help in the preparation, serving and cleanup of the meal. These duties are assigned on a class rotation basis and each child’s class is typically assigned 5-6 times throughout the program year. It is a wonderful family service project and a lot of fun.
Please CLICK HERE to view a roster of meal responsibilities assignments. To ensure we have enough people to cover all of the responsibilities, we ask that the child and at least one parent assist, but if you would like to bring the whole family, we will find jobs for everyone.
You will be assigned to assist in one of the following areas:
Preparation/set up: begins at 4:00 and goes until 5:00 PM. This entails sanitizing/setting tables; simple, supervised food prep. You will be done in time for Mass.
Serving: report to the kitchen at 5:50PM or, if attending the Sunday evening Mass, right after communion. Sign in, make a name tag, wash your hands and you will be assigned to a duty: serving food, pouring water, runner, etc. After you are finished, you are invited to eat too!
Clean up: begins at approximately 6:20 PM or right after we complete serving. The children can help with cleanup, but only until 6:30pm so they can get to the faith formation groups on time. Adults are asked to stay longer to finish the cleanup. This entails clearing tables, stacking chairs, folding tables, vacuuming floor, cleaning the kitchen, putting food away. We are usually finished by around 7:30 PM which leaves plenty of time to relax and visit before faith formation groups end.
If you are unable to assist on the night we have you scheduled, please find another family to sub for you or with whom to switch. If this doesn’t work, please contact the faith formation department to suggest another date that you can serve. Call 952-405-7207. It takes a village to feed the village. Remember many hands make light work!
We can’t do this without you! Thank you in advance for sharing your Time and Talents with us!
