The Pax Christi Families with Special Needs group provides support to parents caring for a child(ren) or someone one else with special needs ( defined in wide-open terms). The group meets 5-6 times per year for dessert & fellowship. Childcare is provided for special needs children & their siblings. Most gatherings include a professional facilitator (from various backgrounds) to guide conversation amongst participants. Topics have included those on faith, marriage enrichment, unique aspects of special needs parenting, spiritual guidance, etc. This is a warm, faith-filled eclectic group that welcomes parishioners & non-parishioners.
