Advocacy

Environmental Challenge


Be sure to watch the Justice eNEWS for information about ways that Pax Christi is plugged into the work of environmental justice. There are many opportunities throughout the year to join the work of Environmental Challenge committee. CLICK HERE for additional information.

Food Justice


We have several opportunities to take action to address food insecurity with fellow Pax Christi members:
Giving Garden (Formerly Crops for PROP)
Help plant, maintain, and harvest the on-site vegetable garden in the “Pax Christi Crops for PROP” project. CLICK HEREfor additional information.

Loaves and Fishes
Prepare and serve an evening meal monthly at St. Stephen’s Community Center in Minneapolis or at Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul. CLICK HERE for additional information.

Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a hot meal delivery program for home-bound individuals living in Eden Prairie. CLICK HERE for additional information.

YouthLink Volunteer Meal Service
Prepare and serve evening meals to homeless youth while interacting with the guests. CLICK HERE for additional information.

Housing Justice


Pax Christi members participate in the Eden Prairie Housing Coalition whose member organizations include social service providers, faith communities, and advocacy organizations, and providers of legal services for renters.

Immigration Justice


Our On the Road to Jericho initiative provides opportunities to learn about the complex and evolving issues for migrants in the U.S. and right here in the Twin Cities. We also discuss ways in which the Pax Christi community can provide safe and welcoming space for our neighbors who have made Eden Prairie their home.


Tutoring


The Tutor Network is comprised of men and women who help elementary and intermediate students reach their highest academic potential, especially in mathematics and reading. CLICK HERE for additional  information.
